KSE employees participated in the Clean up the World, Clean up the Czech Republic project on 18 September 2020
Our company participated in Clean up the World Day for the first time. As the organizer of the event, we not only invited our employees but also volunteers from the surrounding areas to help us collect the garbage blemishing the natural surroundings. A total of 24 volunteers met including representatives from the top management of our company and a representative from Vsetín City Hall, Deputy Mayor, Simona Hlavacova.
The volunteers were divided into teams to clean up the areas encompassing the industrial zones in Bobrky, Jasenice and Jablunka, all of which are locations where the company operates. Garbage was collected on roads, sidewalks, on bike paths and in adjacent forests.
In total, the volunteers collected 880 kg of municipal waste, 20 kg of recyclable plastic waste and several tires.
Our thanks go especially to all the volunteers who put their energy into this project in their free time and, of course, to the organizer of this meaningful event, who provided us with the necessary protective equipment and garbage bags. We also thank Technical Services of Vsetin s.r.o., which willingly placed containers on the collection routes to make the volunteers’ work as easy as possible.
Kayaku Safety Systems Europe aims to fulfil its social responsibilities including caring for the environment. One of the key priorities of the company is to maintain a balance between the economic, ecological and social spheres as a condition for sustainable development. We are sure that such activities make sense and we believe that even more volunteers will join us next year when this volunteer event takes place again.
